The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Wednesday issued notification for the conduct of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination 2020. The examination is conducted for the recruitment of commissioned officers in India Army, Navy and Air Force.
The number of posts for which recruitment will be carried out is 418. The exam will be held on February 2, 2020.

Last Date for Receipt of Applications– 19/11/2019 – 6:00pm

Educational qualification:
For India Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai — Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
For Indian Naval Academy—Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.
For Air Force Academy—Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

How to apply?

The Online Applications can be filled up to November 19, 2019 till 6:00 PM.
The online Applications can be withdrawn from 26.11.2019 to 03.12.2019 till 6.00 PM
The registration will be done in two parts. In Part I, candidates need to fill basic information. On submission of the details, the candidate will be prompted to check the details and make corrections, if any.
Part II of the registration process will consist of filling the payment details, selection of the exam centre, uploading of the photograph etc.
Public disclosure of marks:
As per the decision taken by the Government for increasing the access of unemployed to job opportunities, the Commission will disclose the scores of the candidates (obtained in the Written Examination and Service Selection Board Interview/Personality Test) through the public portals, the notification said.
The disclosure will be made in respect of only those candidates who appear in the SSB Interview for the CDS examination and are not qualified. The information shared through this disclosure scheme about the unsuccessful candidates may be used by public and private recruitment agencies to appoint suitable candidates from the information made available in the public portal, the notification added.
