Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu To Deliver Utkal University’s 50th Convocation Address

Bhubaneswar: The Utkal University will organise its 50th Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, April 3. Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu will be the chief guest on the occasion and will deliver the Convocation address.

Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development and Higher Education, Arun Kumar Sahoo will be the guest of honour and Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal will preside over the function, according to a release from the university.

The NAAC accredited A+ varsity will also honour five noted personalities from Odisha who will be conferred with the degree of Honoris Causa (Doctor of Letters – D.Litt) during the convocation on Saturday.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das, Justice Sanju Panda of Orissa High Court, Dr Ajit Kumar Mohanty of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Comptroller and Auditor General of India Girish Chandra Murmu and Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan adviser Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo will be the awardees on the occasion.

Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, last year the convocation could not be conducted.
