Bhubaneswar: The World Skill Centre (WSC), India’s premier advanced skill training institute based in Odisha, has invited applications for its 2026–27 Advanced Skill Development Courses, with the last date set for 30 September.
Operating at Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur campuses, WSC offers one‑year programmes under the Schools of Engineering and Services, and a six‑month Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML) course under the School of Advanced Technology in Bhubaneswar.
In Bhubaneswar, engineering courses include Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Electrical Technology, Mechanical & Electrical Services, Mechatronics Engineering, Vertical Transportation, Precision Engineering, Digital Animation, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management. The School of Services offers Beauty & Wellness, Hospitality & Hotel Operations, and Health Care Assistant Training.
The Sambalpur campus provides one‑year programmes in Beauty & Wellness, Hospitality & Hotel Operations, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
Eligibility varies by programme, ranging from ITI, Diploma, +2, B.E./B.Tech, MCA and other prescribed qualifications. The AI & ML course is open to BE/BTech or MCA graduates.
As part of Odisha’s inclusive skill mission, SC, ST, OBC, SEBC and minority candidates can pursue one‑year courses free of cost, with hostel accommodation, meals, uniforms and transport provided. WSC also ensures placement support, with a 99% placement rate recorded in 2025–26, including 295 global placements.
