Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB) is organising ATHLOS, the inter-college sports fest from October 18-20, 2019.
The three-day sporting extravaganza is being attended by several prestigious institutes such as Xavier University, Bhubaneswar, XLRI Jamshedpur, VGSOM of IIT Kharagpur, IIFT Kolkata, IIM Sambalpur and IMI Bhubaneswar. XIMB alumni shall also be participating as a contingent.
Students from these institutes will compete in various sporting events which range from indoor sports such as table tennis to outdoor sports like football.
The meet is being inaugurated by the CEO of CII National Committee-Sports and head of Sports Development & Partnership, Star TV Network Deep Mukherjee and by members of the Odisha Football Club – Ashish Shah (CEO, Odisha FC), Rohan Sharma (Owner, Odisha FC) and Josep Gombau (Head Coach, Odisha FC).
ATHLOS is organised by XIMB since 2008, showing that sports are an integral part of the management culture, enjoyed both by the students and the alumni and encouraged by the faculty. The event also provides an opportunity for the institutes to build relations with other B-schools and also strengthen the bond with its alumni.
