Maharashtra Postal Circle Invites Online Applications For 3650 GDS Posts

The job profile includes Branch Post Master, Assistant Branch Post Master and Dak Sevaks.

The Maharashtra Postal Circle of India Post has released a notification for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) on its official website. A total number of 3650 vacancies are available for GDS Posts at various locations of Maharashtra such as Navi Mumbai, Solapur, Pune,  Ahmednagar, Thane, among other places.

Eligible candidates can apply through the official website of India Post. The last date to apply is November 30, 2019. Candidates who want to apply will have to register through indiapost.gov.in or appost.in/gdsonline. 

The job profile includes ‘Branch Post Master’, ‘Assistant Branch Post Master’ and ‘Dak Sevaks’.

Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18-40 years of age.

Applicants must have passed Class 10 examination with Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects. The candidates who have passed Class 10 examination in the first attempt will be treated as meritorious against those who have passed through the compartment. Knowledge of local language and basic computer is a must.

Selection Process: The selection will be done on the basis of the automatically generated merit list prepared on the basis of candidates’ online application. Only marks obtained in the Class 10 exam will be considered.

Steps To Apply: 

  • Registration – Initially the candidate has to register in the registration module once per cycle and obtain unique registration number.
  • Fee Payment – Applicants of category UR/OBC/EWS males need to make the fee payment. Offline payment can be made at any Head post Office. List of Post offices is available on the official website
  • Apply Online –
  1. Fill application.
  2. Upload Documents.
  3. Submit Post preferences.

Preview and take the printout. Completion of these three steps will only be treated as submission of application.
