17,000 Indian Students Await Return To Australia

New Delhi: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan held a virtual meeting on Tuesday with Australian counterpart Alan Tudge to discuss the issue of 17,000 Indian students who wish to return to Australia for education.

According to Education Ministry sources of news agency ANI, Pradhan raised the issue of more than 17,000 Indian students willing to return to Australia for education during the meeting.

The two Ministers stressed the commitment of both countries’ to support Australia-bound students at every stage.

The Australian government’s steps to ease the return of Indian students to Australia have been briefed by the Australian minister.

The two ministers “laid emphasis on both countries’ commitment to supporting Australia-bound students at every stage”, reported the agency.

Pradhan tweeted that he had a productive discussion with Tudge.

“@AlanTudgeMP also elaborated on Australia’s preparation, including a students arrival pilot for the return of International and Indian students to Australia. Both India and Australia are committed to support Australia-bound Indian students at every stage,” Pradhan tweeted.
