Bhubaneswar: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main II began in 17 places in Odisha on Tuesday with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.
Around 30,000 students are appearing for the computer-based examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The exam will conclude on March 18. It will be held in two sittings from 9 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Out of 331 centres across the country, there are 17 centres in Odisha viz., Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Angul, Bhadrak, Baripada, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Bhawanipatna and Jeypore.
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, NTA has decided to conduct the JEE Main examination in four phases.
While the first phase of the examination was held on February 23, the third and fourth phases of the examination will be held in April and May.
