365 Candidates Qualify UPSC CDS 1 Final Examination

Medical examination results were not considered while compiling the final list of CDS 1 qualifiers for 2025, says the UPSC

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) 1 Examination 2025, after the written test and SSB interviews.

A total of 365 candidates successfully qualified the examination. It is important to note that the medical examination results were not considered while compiling the final list of CDS 1 qualifiers for 2025.

The Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence conducted interviews for candidates seeking admission to the 160th (DE) Course at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun; the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala; and the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying Training Course).

As per government notifications, the number of vacancies for the Indian Military Academy stands at 100, which includes 13 seats reserved for candidates holding NCC ‘C’ Certificates from the Army Wing.

The Indian Naval Academy has 32 vacancies under the Executive Branch (General Service)/Hydro, with six seats earmarked for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders from the Naval Wing.

The Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, has 32 vacancies, including three reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Air Wing) holders through the NCC Special Entry Scheme.

Earlier, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had declared 2,560 candidates qualified in the written test for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), 942 for the Indian Naval Academy (INA), and 636 for the Air Force Academy (AFA).

The final list of selected candidates reflects those who successfully cleared the subsequent SSB interviews conducted by the Army Headquarters.

However, individual marks of the candidates will be published only after the final results for the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) under the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2025, are declared.
