Bengaluru: Applications are invited from engineers to fill 61 vacancies at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). There are a total of 19 vacancies for the Scientist of Engineer’s (SD) post and 42 for Scientist or Engineer SC.
According to The Better India, the monthly remuneration for these posts goes up to Rs 2,08,700, basis the candidates’ qualifications and experience.

1) Scientist/ Engineer SD
No. of vacancies: 19
Eligibility Criteria: A basic engineering degree is required to apply although essential qualifications are different for each post. To know details, go through the official notification.
Remuneration: ₹ 67,700 – ₹ 2,08,700
2) Scientist/ Engineer SC
No. of vacancies: 42
Eligibility: Bachelors or Masters in engineering. The specialisation for each post is mentioned in the official notification.
Remuneration: ₹ 56,100 – ₹ 1,77,500
Steps to apply:
Step 1: Read through the official notification to know the requirements
Step 2: Visit the official website of ISRO for details mentioned in the corrigendum
Step 3: On the top left corner, there is a button to apply for the posts
Step 4: Register using your email address and phone number
Step 5: On registration, you will receive a confirmation along with the application link in your email address.
Step 6: Use the link to fill in your application form, upload required documents and passport size photograph.
A fee of Rs 250 is applicable before submitting the application.
Selection Process:
Following an initial screening, shortlisted candidates will be allowed to sit for a written test. Some candidates may be selected on basis of their cut-off percentage of marks scored in their graduation but the final selection will be made on the performance during the interview.
