Shillong: A total of 74.74 per cent students who had appeared for Class XII (HSSLC) exams in Meghalaya were successful, the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) announced on Thursday.
Meanwhile, 72.24 per cent students cleared Class XII Science stream, the pass percentage of Commerce stream remained at 77.28 per cent.
Girls of the Commerce stream, with 83 per cent clearing the exams, outshone the boys, while boys of the Science stream outperformed the girls. Among boys’, 77.76 per cent cleared the exams in the science stream.
Students can check their results online at mbose.in, megresults.nic.in, results.mbose.in. They have to click on the direct link available on the websites, enter registration number/roll number and the result will appear on the screen. Students can then download the result and take printouts.
Kaustab Choudhary topped in Science stream with 468 marks while Komal Sharma with 445 marks stood first among the girls.
A total of 900 students secured first division in Science while 1406 students were placed in the second division. Only 46 students passed in third division. In Commerce, a total of 631 students secured first division, while 794 students got second division and 108 students passed with third division marks.
The HSSLC exams concluded in June saw 30,697 students register for the same. However, the pending papers on mathematics, physical education and statistics were deferred due to lockdown and were conducted from June 8-10. The combined results have now been declared.
