8 Colleges & Kalahandi University Asked To Show Cause For Missing E-Admission Training

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has issued a show-cause notice to 8 colleges and Kalahandi University for not attending e-admission training in Bhubaneswar.

The Higher Education department had arranged a two-day training at RD Women’s University for the lecturers of colleges on May 23 and 24. The department aimed at making the academic staff of the colleges conversant with the new regulations for admission to UGC courses from this academic year.

It had issued the official order to 100 higher educational institutions including 30 nodal colleges and 70 SAMS Resources Centres across the state. Of those, 91 institutions attended the training excluding those under Kalahandi University at Bhawanipatna.

The deputy director of the department, in an official order on Thursday, directed the principals of the 8 colleges and vice-chancellor of the university to submit the reason of the absence of the admission in-charge and data entry operators of their institutions at the training programme. The department has asked the institutions to submit their reply within May 29 for further course of action.
