9K CBSE Students To Sit For Improvement Examination To Increase Class XII Marks

New Delhi: The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) has given Class XII students the option of writing an improvement exam.

Now the candidates who wish to improve their score in any particular subject can write the examination along with students writing compartment exams. The marks that these students will score in their improvement exams will be considered for their final scores. However, class X students have not been given this option.

As per The Indian Express, a total of 9,424 students have enrolled for this improvement exam. The compartment and improvement exams will be the first physical mode examinations conducted by the CBSE board since the coronavirus-induced lockdown.

Around 2,37,849 students have registered for the compartment exam out of which 1,50,198 are from Class X and 87,651 from Class XII. The examinations will continue till September 30.
