Bhubaneswar: After conducting YouTube live classes for elementary and secondary school students, the Odisha government has decided to conduct the same for the Higher Secondary (Plus II) students.
In a notification on Tuesday, Bikash Chandra Mohapatra, Director of the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education said that live streaming of YouTube classes for Plus II final year students will begin very soon.
In the first phase, these classes will begin at seven higher secondary schools, as per the decision taken by the School and Mass Education Department
The schools are BJB Higher Secondary School, Bhubaneswar; Rama Devi Higher Secondary School, Bhubaneswar; Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School, Cuttack; SCS Higher Secondary School, Puri; Khallikote Higher Secondary School, Berhampur; MPC Higher Secondary School, Baripada and Fakir Mohan Higher Secondary School, Balasore.
Mohapatra said the principals of these schools have been asked to identify a classroom in their respective schools with adequate lighting facilities. Additionally, they must have air-conditioners and walls painted in white.
The principals have been asked to utilise a maximum of Rs 50,000 from the development fund of their respective schools for painting the walls and electrical fittings. In case of any difficulty, they can inform the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education.
