The OPSC, in a release, said the two examinations will not be postponed. While the Civil Services examination (main) will begin from January 20, the examination for the assistant surgeon posts will start from January 23.

Requesting the candidates for both examinations to follow the guidelines, it said they should wear face masks throughout the examination. Those found not using the masks will be not allowed to appear at the examination, the Commission said.
While the hand sanitising provision has been made at examination centres, the examinees will be allowed to carry a bottle of sanitiser. The seating arrangements at the test centres have been made as per COVID protocol, the release said adding that the candidates must maintain social distance on the campus.
If any candidate develops COVID symptoms during the examination, he can inform the respective invigilator so that he can be accommodated in a special room arranged for the purpose, the Commission stated.
