IGNOU Extends July 2025 Admission Deadline For Open, Distance, Online Courses Until October 15

NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the registration deadline for July 2025 admissions to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), diploma, and other programmes, excluding certificate and semester-based courses.

The registration window for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes will now close on October 15.

The IGNOU has made it clear that the deadline has not been extended for certificate and semester-based programmes.

A Distance Education Bureau Identification (DEB ID) is required for ODL admissions.

How to apply for IGNOU ODL Programme 2025

Step 1: Visit the official website of IGNOU, ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

Step 2: Click on the July 2025 ODL Registration window

Step 3: Click on new registration

Step 4: Enter all the required details

Step 5: Fill the online application form

Step 6: Upload all necessary documents

Step 7: Save the application and click on submit

Documents required

• Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)
• Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)
• Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)
• Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)
• Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)

Application Fee

The IGNOU July 2025 ODL registration fee must be submitted online. The fee of Rs 2,000 must be submitted via Credit Card (Master/Visa), Debit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay) and Net Banking.
