IIT JAM 2027 Registration Window To Open On September 12
Candidates can register for IIT JAM 2027 on the official website, jam.iitkgp.ac.in by October 12, 2026
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur will conduct the IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2027 this year.
The paper will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in 114 cities across India. The IIT JAM registration portal link will open on September 12, 2026, on the official website, jam.iitkgp.ac.in. Those interested in applying for the exam must visit the website once the application form is out and register before October 12 to be eligible for the test.

The IIT JAM 2027 exam will be conducted in two sessions in seven test papers—Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Physics (PH).
Applicants are advised to first check the eligibility criteria before filling in the form and ensure that they fulfil all the requirements. The registration window will open for Indian and foreign national, and there is no age restriction.
IIT JAM Registration 2027: Documents needed
- 10th standard marksheet/certificate
- Passport-size photograph (candidate’s face should clearly be visible)
- Scanned signature, which needs to be only in blue or black ink. No signature with a capital or initials will be accepted.
- Category certificate (applicable to candidates belonging to the following categories, such as OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and PwD)
How to register IIT JAM 2026
Step 1: Visit the official portal, jam.iitkgp.ac.in
Step 2: Click on ‘Register Here’ and enter full name, valid email address, mobile number, and set a password.
Step 3: Submit the form to receive your Enrollment ID via email/SMS.
Step 4: Log into JOAPS using your enrollment ID and password.
Step 5: Enter personal details and academic qualifications
Step 6: Select your Test Paper(s)
Step 7: Choose three preferred exam cities
Step 8: Upload scanned documents in JPEG format
Step 9: Pay application fee
Step 10: Submit and take a printout for reference
