Academic Collaboration With Foreign Institutes: Education Ministry Seeks Suggestions On Draft UGC By This Date
New Delhi: Union Minister for Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said that the University Grants Commission (UGC) has placed the draft regulations on academic collaboration between Indian and foreign higher education institutions.
The collaboration will offer a joint degree, dual degree and twinning programmes in the public domain and invited suggestions from all stakeholders. The last date for receiving suggestions or feedback has been extended to March 15.
The Minister sought insights and feedback from the public including the academia and other stakeholders to enable the Ministry of Education to bring about effective implementation of this aspect of National Education Policy (NEP).
