AICTE Opens Application Process For Postgraduate Scholarships; Check Details

New Delhi: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is offering scholarships to postgraduate students in programmes like ME/MTech/MArch/MDes.

Online application process from accredited institutions has got underway.

First-year students of the 2023-24 academic year with valid GATE/CEED scores and qualifying marks will receive scholarship funds through direct bank transfer (DBT).

The deadline to apply is November 30, with institutes required to complete the verification process by December 15.

According to an AICTE notification, students pursuing postgraduate courses with valid GATE/CEED scores who meet all criteria have to obtain a Unique ID from their respective institutes.

Scholarship candidates then have to log in at pgscholarship.aicte-india.org to upload scanned copies of documents.

Documents pertaining to GATE/CEED scorecard and an active bank account linked with Aadhar number have to be uploaded.

Only Aadhar-linked savings accounts will be accepted as the scholarship amount is disbursed through Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS) via Public Financial Management System (PFMS).

Such bank accounts should remain open and unchanged throughout the course.

No-frill accounts, Jan Dhan accounts, accounts with transaction/credit limits and joint accounts are not allowed.

Students should upload scanned copies of original Aadhar cards and valid certificates for SC/ST, EWS, OBC and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) categories, with the EWS and OBC/NCL certificates not exceeding one year from date of issue.
