New Delhi: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will organize a ‘COVID-19 National Bio-informatics Online Hackathon’ from April 27 to May 6.
Interested students or professionals with a background in full-stack web/mobile app development, engineering institutes, start-ups, arts & science colleges can register for the hackathon at aicte-india.org till April 26.
According to an AICTE release, the aim of the hackathon is to develop a comprehensive COVID-19 pandemic app to support coordination. The participants can only submit their installable programs and not their source code.
While it has been made clear that the direct outputs will not be only used for pure commercial purpose or profiteering of individuals or entities, this can be used for making into an open-source file or partly paid through government projects or funds for social causes similar to apps developed using open source software, the release said.
