Allow AIIMS Entrance Examinees To Avail State Centres: Kerala CM Vijayan To Harsh Vardhan

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has requested Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan to allow AIIMS entrance examinees from the state to avail centres inside the state boundary. This is to prevent them from travelling outside the state in the midst of rising COVID-19 cases across the nation.

“Many candidates from Kerala who had opted Thiruvananthapuram as the centre, have got centres in the state of Tamil Nadu,” Vijayan wrote in a letter to the Union Health Minister.

“It is not advisable to compel candidates to travel inter-state for the entrance examination,” the chief minister further iterated.

Through the letter, the chief minister has asked for the health minister’s urgent intervention in the matter to ensure security and safety to the candidates.

However, AIIMS’ PG entrance examinations are slated for June 11.
