Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh government is getting ready to reopen colleges from October 15. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, in a review meeting, determined the guidelines for reopening and sought higher education department’s opinion on that.
Reddy is believed to have asked the officials to focus on stretching the Gross Enrolment Ration to 90 per cent in the meeting. He also granted approval to hire Assistant Professors in Universities across the state.
It may be recalled that schools, colleges and other educational institutions are shut since March across the country to check the spread of COVID-19.
