Vishakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh government will be reopening all schools in the state from November 2, while following limited seating and social distancing protocols, reported Jagran Josh.
In order to finish the syllabus and providing 180 working days as part of the academic calendar, the current academic session has been extended to April 2021 by the state government.
School education minister Commissioner V Chinna Veerabhadrudu said that schools will reopen in phases, with classes being held on alternate days of the week.
Classes IX and X will be the first to reopen for physical classes on November 2, followed by Classes VI to VIII from November 23, and December 14 for Classes I to V. Schools will operate from 9:15 am to 1:45 pm, followed by serving of mid-day meals.
Veerabhadru also added that all necessary COVID safety protocols will be maintained and that students and teachers are required to attend an orientation session on the pandemic guidelines issued by the state government.
