Army Welfare Education Society has issued notification for the recruitment of 8000 PGT, TGT, PRTs in 137 Army Public Schools during 2019-20 session. The vacancies will be filled up through a Combined Selection Screening Examination (CSSE).
Educational Qualifications:
- Minimum 50% marks
- For Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Post Graduation and B.Ed.
- For Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Graduation and B.ED.
- Primary Teacher (PRT) – Graduation and B.ED./D.Ed. (2 year)
- CTET/TET conducted by state governments is mandatory for appointment as TGTs/PRTs. Others found fit in all other respects may be appointed on “Adhoc” basis only till attainment of qualification. However, CTET/TET is not mandatory for appearing in CSB online Screening exam.
Eligible candidates who wish to apply can register online for the screening examination by logging into http://aps-csb.in by September 22 2019. Admit Cards will be available online on 4th October 2019. Candidates can download and get a printout for further use.
Age Limit:
- Fresh Candidates: Below 40 years (In the case of Delhi schools TGT/PRTs should be <29years and PGT<36 years)
- Experienced candidates: Below 57 years (should have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in the last 10 years)
Selection Procedure
Selection Procedure for Army School Recruitment for the posts will be done in three stages
- Screening Exam: Screening will be conducted on 19th and 20th October for vacancies that will arise during the ensuing academic year. This will be conducted online by an agency identified by AWES HQ centrally, to ensure uniform quality of teachers in Army Public Schools.
- Interview: They may or may not be held at the location of the school. They may be held as per discretion of the local management.
- Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency: For language teachers, written test comprising Essay & Comprehension of 15 marks each will be held along with the evaluation of teaching skills. Selection Committee may also hold Computer proficiency tests if they so desire.
