Assam Man Writes 140-Page Book In One Sentence, Enters India Book Of Records

Guwahati: Ramen Das, a resident of Guwahati, made it to the India Book of Records by writing a book of 140 pages comprising only one sentence in the Assamese language.

Guru Pranati, the book revolves around the life and work of great social reformer of Assam Srimanta Sankaradeva. The single sentence contains around 29,619 words and is the first of its kind.

Ramen Das is a former Guwahati Municipal Corporation ward councillor of Dispur. He said the purpose of the book was to help the younger generation understand the ideologies of Sankaradeva.

Moreover, he wanted to make people curious as to how a book can be written in a single sentence. According to him, this would help the new generation in acquainting themselves with the teachings of Sankaradeva, reported Sentinelassam.com.

Guru Pranati was published by Prakashan Kosh on July 18 and Das has been awarded the certificate by India Book of Records.
