Guwahati: Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday announced that the appointment process of lower and upper primary teachers in Assam would begin on August 27.
The minister also said the appointment letters to 300 candidates will be distributed at an event to be held at Shankar Dev Kalakshetra in Guwahati, as per The Times of India. However, other candidates will be able to download appointment letters from specific websites.
According to the minister, around 7,000 candidates will be appointed as Lower Primary, ME teachers in the state. The minister also stated that the government will issue advertisement for the posts of 7,440 high school teachers in the first week of September.
