New Delhi: The University of Delhi (DU) is planning to reopen the campus for science stream students and will issue guidelines in this regard by next week.
However, the university has not yet decided on physical classes for the arts and commerce streams, DU Registrar Vikas Gupta said in a webinar on overview of undergraduate admissions on Wednesday.
The university had suspended all offline activities following the outbreak of the COVID second wave. It had, however, allowed final year students to access labs.
In another development, DU has started the registration process for undergraduate courses.
Before the second wave set in and prompted DU to suspend all offline activities, the university had allowed final year students to access labs while it was conducting theory classes online. Over 8,000 aspirants had registered within an hour of the admission portal going live at 8 am on Monday.
Around 70,000 seats in 63 colleges are up for admission. The last date of registration is August 31.
