Bengaluru To Host 107th Indian Science Congress From Jan 3
About 15000 delegates from scientific and academic fraternity are expected at the meet
Bengaluru: The 107th session of the Indian Science Congress will kick off here from January 3, 2020. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the five-day event.
Key highlights of the event:
1. As many as 15000 delegates from the scientific and academic fraternity are expected to attend the congress.
2. The theme of the meet will be ‘science and technology: rural development’.
3. A ‘Pride of India Expo 2020 will be organised simultaneously, showcasing innovation, products and new ideas.
4. “Spread over an area of 15,000 square metre and with over 150 organisations from all across the globe, ‘Pride of India’ will provide unlimited resources and a unique platform to interact, collaborate and network with the leaders of industries,” general president of the Congress K S Rangappa told media.
5.Vignyan Jyot, Genesis, Eduvision, host state pavilion and special pavilions will be other major attractions.
The India Science Congress is arguably one of the most prestigious scientific events in the country.
