Varanasi: In view of the rapid spread of COVID-19 cases, the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) administration has adopted specific remedial measures with immediate effect for the COVID-19 management in the hostels.
A notification in this regard has been issued by the varsity under which the hostels will identify and earmark some rooms in the vicinity of the washrooms for students testing positive, a BHU spokesperson was quoted as saying by news agency IANS.
Any student developing COVID-19 symptoms should get tested and isolate himself/herself in the room.
If tested positive, the student should immediately inform the warden who will keep the student in the isolation room in the hostel and also inform the CMO, the agency report said.
If anyone requires hospitalisation, he/she will be referred to the super-specialty block for admission.
