BHU Decides To Open Library, Hostels After Students’ Protest

Varanasi: The Banaras Hindu University’s (BHU) Central Library will reopen on December 14 while the hostels will start functioning a day later (Monday), Vice-Chancellor Dr Rakesh Bhatnagar said.

This decision came following a week-long protest by the students in front of VC’s residence. The hostels will open doors on December 15 after the semester exams conclude.

Academic activities will not require a ‘No Dues’ certificate this semester, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr Bhatnagar though has not said anything about the students’ call for starting physical classes.
