Varanasi: The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will reopen and start regular classes from February 22. This comes after a long gap due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. The hostels of the university will reopen from February 17.
According to BHU spokesperson Rajesh Singh, the Vice-Chancellor held a meeting with the institute’s directors, deans, Registrar, Dean of student welfare, Chief Proctor and other officials to decide on reopening of hostels from February 17 for last year students.
However, the classes will resume in hybrid mode (offline along with online) from February 22. The time table of the classes will be shortly uploaded on the varsity website.
It is also learnt that all sanitisation measures will be taken ahead of the reopening of the hostels and classes. Students have also been asked to strictly follow the COVID protocols.
