Bhubaneswar’s Uktal University Postpones Examinations Scheduled On March 28 & 29 Due To Bharat Bandh

Bhubaneswar: The Utkal University here has postponed the examinations scheduled on March 28 and 29 due to the two-day Bharat Bandh called by trade unions.

Controller of Examination of Utkal University Sarat Kumar Majhi, in a statement on Sunday, said in view of the Bharat Bandh called by trade unions from 6 am to 4 pm on March 28 and 29, all examinations scheduled for the two days stand postponed. The next date of the examinations will be announced in future, he added.

Majhi said the decision on postponement of the examinations has been taken on the recommendation of the university’s vice-chancellor.

It may be noted that Joint Forum of Central Trade Unions has called two-day nationwide strike in protest against “anti-worker policies of the Central government and rise in prices of essential commodities and petroleum products”.
