Varanasi: Vice-chancellor Rakesh Bhatnagar bid farewell to Banaras Hindu University (BHU) on his last day in office on Sunday, March 28. Bhatnagar was the 27th VC of the renowned institution.
The varsity’s incumbent pro-vice-chancellor VK Shukla will succeed Bhatnagar till a permanent appointment is made. The staff and faculty members remembered Bhatnagar’s contribution to BHU.

“With the inspiration of Mahamana, I have always worked to keep the interest of the university and the students ahead,” Bhatnagar said in his farewell speech.
