New Delhi: The surge in COVID-19 cases throughout the country has apparently forced the government to reconsider the move to hold Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations in offline mode, slated to be conducted from May 4.
According to reports, both the Ministry of Education and the CBSE officials are in the discussion if the class X, XII board exams should be postponed in view of rising COVID-19 cases.
According to the sources of The Indian Express, the Education Ministry said that it seems ‘difficult’ to hold the board exams at this time. The government is open to reconsidering the dates of the exam, but CBSE officials feel it was too early to indicate the changes to the schedule, the paper reported.
