New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a review meeting on the Class XII Board exams of the CBSE and cancelled it in view of the uncertain conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic on Tuesday.
A decision was also made that the CBSE will take steps to compile the Class XII results “as per a well-defined objective criteria” in a time-bound manner.

The news heaved a sigh of relief for over 14 lakh students who had registered for the CBSE Class XII board exams.
Meanwhile, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has also declared the cancellation of Class XII board examinations.
“The alternative assessment criteria will be announced soon,” CISCE said.
