New Delhi: Seven among the nine candidates getting the highest overall percentile in CAT 2020 exam are from Engineering and Technology background while two are from Management and Mathematics background.
Nine candidates have secured an overall 100 percentile, out of which, five candidates are from the IITs, and the rest are from IIM Indore, BITS Pilani, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, and YMCA institute of Engineering, according to an official statement.
Three among the candidates who got 100 percentile are from Rajasthan, while the six are from Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Telangana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, according to NDTV.
A total of 19 candidates have secured overall 99.99 percentile in CAT 2020, out of which, 18 are male and one is female. Of the total 19 candidates, 16 are from engineering/technology, two are from economics and one is from management background.
The CAT 2020 was conducted by IIM Indore in three shifts on November 29, 2020. Results were declared on Saturday, January 2.
The IIM admission test was attempted by 1,90,144 candidates from 430 centres across 159 cities in the country.
