New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed all the affiliated schools to update the Online Affiliated School Information System (OASIS) data by February-end.
According to the board, the affiliated schools must update their OASIS data every year which is used for various activities as it is the major source of information in respect of affiliated schools across India.
“However, it has been noticed that some CBSE affiliated schools are not updating it regularly which is leading to wrong or incomplete data with Board and also causing financial burden such as penalty on the schools,” the board circular stated.
The board mentioned that it has taken a serious note of such kind of deviation by the schools. “To ensure up to date information with regard to the affiliated schools and to avoid any hardship, all schools affiliated with CBSE are directed to update Online Affiliated School Information System (OASIS) data by end of February, 2022,” said the circular undersigned by CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi.
The CBSE has directed all the affiliated schools to update their websites for display of “Mandatory Public Disclosure” on home page for making it easy for stakeholders.
“It has also been noticed that many CBSE affiliated schools are not updating their school website with Mandatory Public Disclosure, which is in violation of Board’s directions and CBSE Affiliation Bye Laws, 2018,” the board added.
