NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheet for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations, scheduled to begin on February 16, 2027.
As per CBSE, more than 26.5 lakh students have registered for Class 10 and over 19.8 lakh for Class 12. They will appear in 83 subjects in Class 10 and 121 subjects in Class 12.
All examinations will commence at 10.30 am.
“The date sheets are prepared based on the data submitted in the List of Candidates (LOC) by the schools. As the LOC submission process has been completed and the Board now possesses the final data regarding subject combinations opted by students, CBSE has finalised the date sheets,” said an official notification.

The CBSE said that over 40,000 subject combinations had been factored to ensure that exams for two subjects opted for by the same student do not clash. Adequate gaps have also been provided between subjects commonly taken together in both classes.
The tentative schedules of major entrance exams for Class 12 students were also taken into account. “Every effort has been made to complete the Board Examinations well before the commencement of such entrance examinations,” the notification said.
The schedule also takes into account the number of candidates at individual examination centres on a given day and has been designed to minimise teachers’ prolonged absence from schools during evaluation.
The CBSE said the early release would give students sufficient time to reduce examination-related anxiety, and help schools undertake academic planning and support measures for board classes.
