CBSE Private & Compartment Students Move Supreme Court Over Exam Cancellation

New Delhi: A total of 1,152 students filed a joint petition at the Supreme Court seeking direction to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for cancellation of CBSE’s Class XII private and compartment examinations. The students also demanded parity with regular students.

The students of the CBSE Class XII examination sought the cancellation of their physical mode examinations and demanded that their performance be evaluated by following the formula in line with the CBSE’s assessment formula for the regular students and to release the results in a time-bound manner, the petition was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

The apex court is expected to hear the batch of petitions on Monday, June 21.

Advocate Abhishek Choudhary and Manju Jaitley filed the application in the top court on behalf of the students. The advocates sought intervention and direction in the writ petition filed earlier before the top court for the cancellation of the CBSE/ICSE examinations.
