New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has advised school principals to encourage students to take part in the Innovation Award for School Children (CIASC) 2021. This award will be preceded by a competition launched by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to develop a scientific culture among school students.
CSIR has sought novel scientific and technological concepts, ideas, designs and solutions to existing societal problems from the students. These proposals should be novel and utilitarian and the concept of innovation should be proved via a model, prototype or experimental data.
Essays or mere compilation of information from literature or the internet will not be entertained, reported ABP Education.
Applicants are required to submit hard copies of their proposals in English or Hindi within 5,000 words, along with an authentication certificate issued by the school principals. The proposal must have the title of the innovation, the candidate’s name and date of birth, school and residential address, class, telephone number and email address. The entries should reach by April 30.
Indian school students up to Class XII and 18 years of age as of January 1, 2021, are allowed to take part in the competition.
