CBSE To Begin Term 1 Board Exams In November

New Delhi: The first of the two-part Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations for Class X and Class XII will start mid-November.

The CBSE will announce the dates of the exams of Term 1 by mid-October.

The Term 1 exam papers will comprise multiple-choice optical mark recognition (MCQ-OMR) question sheets. However, CBSE officials have ruled out any option of online tests for Term 1 exams.

Earlier, the board had decided to split the exams into two parts — Term 1 & Term 2.

The board had also said that the final score of a student would be calculated based on his/her performance in both Terms.

According to the new scheme, Term 1 will have objective type questions while Term 2 will be subjective, besides the practical components.
