Bhubaneswar: In a bid to develop an AI-ready generation, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has collaborated with Intel to fulfil the goal.
The CBSE has introduced Artificial Intelligence as a subject in class IX in the official courses from session 2019-2020 and in Class XI from 2020-2021 session in the affiliated schools.
The age-appropriate curriculum is focused on building an AI-mindset, relevant skillset, and toolsets. The CBSE are taking efforts to ensure that the learners become familiar with AI domains like computer vision, natural language processing, data, and the application to create meaningful social impact projects.
Besides this, the students are also being imparted training on AI biases, ethics, and privacy concerns. The board is set to launch AI Student Community, a platform where students can learn and share their experiences.
I am happy to know that @cbseindia29 along with @IntelIndia is launching #AI Students community portal on 2nd anniversary of path-breaking decision to introduce AI in schools. This aims at nurturing an AI ecosystem & encouraging collaborative learning.https://t.co/y2oEavM0zy
