Centurion University Aims To Train Candidates From Chhattisgarh’s LWE Areas

Bhubaneswar: The Centurion University has undertaken medical technician training of candidates from Left Wing Extremists (LWE) areas of Chhattisgarh at its Jatni campus near the city.

With CSR support from National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), the university launched the skill training of 60 candidates on OT Technician and Blood Bank Technician on Saturday. All the trainees are from the LWE areas of the Dantewada and Bastar districts of Chhattisgarh.

Speaking at the inaugural function of the training programme, the general manager and CSR Head of NMDC, Sunil Upadhyay, appreciated the efforts of Centurion University and NMDC for arranging the novel skill training linked to employability in the healthcare sector.

Dean, School of Paramedics & Allied Health Sciences, Centurion University, Sunil Kumar Jha, spoke on the courses available in the School of Pharmacy, their relevance and achievements.

The Comptroller of Finance of Centurion University, Debasish Panda, highlighted different aspects of the unique skill development programme and options for further education in the health sector through multiple-entry multiple exit options.

The GM, Projects of Centurion University, Sanjeev Mishra, anchored the meeting along with Ashis Kumar Rout and Satyajit Pattnaik. Abhisek Tiria and Shobhan Garnaik from the NMDC side and Preeti Parimanik, Itismita Dhal and Sanjay Gouda from Centurion University were also present at the event.
