London: The application window for Chevening Scholarships & Fellowships is open for Indian students.
Chevening is the UK government’s flagship global scholarship scheme. And Chevening India programme is the largest in the world, offering up to 100 fully paid scholarships and fellowships, every year.
This year, the number of Indian students going to the UK could be more as Adani Group has partnered with Chevening to co-sponsor five scholars who will pursue a one-year Master’s course in Artificial Intelligence. In addition, the Jharkhand government will co-sponsor five Chevening scholars from minority groups in the state.
Scholarships are given to outstanding Indian graduates for a one-year Master’s degree, to study any subject, at recognised universities in the UK.
Fellowships are for mid-to-senior level professionals who are looking to expand their knowledge and expertise in their specific field of work.
The programmes are tailored, short courses which usually run for 8-11 weeks at a designated UK University.
There are over 3500 Chevening alumni in India.

Scholarship for one-year Master’s degree
A Chevening Scholarship offers financial support along with the opportunity to become part of the highly regarded and influential Chevening global network. We encourage outstanding graduates with at least two years’ work experience to pursue a one-year Master’s degree at any recognised university in the UK, in a subject of their choice.

Chevening Gurukul Fellowship For Leadership And Excellence — Flagship fellowship scheme for India and is aimed at mid-career and high-flying young professionals from diverse backgrounds who have already displayed exceptional leadership talent.
12 selected Gurukul Fellows will be offered an intensive, all expenses paid, twelve-week residential course at King’s College London. The programme familiarises India’s future leaders with best practice case-studies of leadership in the fields of government, innovation, health, and industry in the UK through a variety of standard and heterodox methods, ranging from seminars, project work, networking, and site visits.
