New Delhi: The Common Eligibility Test (CET) will be conducted from September 2021, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Jitendra Singh said on Monday.
The Union government had, on August 19, approved the creation of National Recruitment Agency (NRA) under which a common eligibility test will be conducted to shortlist candidates to fill up various posts for government jobs.
CET is a computer-based online examination.
After clearing the CET, recruitment process of candidates will be taken over by independent recruiting bodies like Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, Railway Recruitment Boards, Staff Selection Commission as per their requirement.
Around 2.5 crore job seekers are expected to benefit from the process, starting with CET.
