Common PG Entrance Test In Odisha Starts At 26 Centres

Bhubaneswar: The Common Entrance Test for admission to 83 post-graduate streams in 68 institutions (Universities and autonomous colleges) began at 26 centres in Odisha on Monday with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.

A total of 62,189 students are appearing for the test in three sittings which began at 10 am. The duration of each sitting will be 90 minutes. The test is being conducted in the OMR (optical mark recognition) format having 70 multiple questions.

Special provisions have been made in each centre for the candidates afflicted with COVID-19 who are allowed to appear for the test in the special isolation rooms.

The selection of the candidates for admission will be based on 70 per cent marks scored in the test while 30 marks will be assessed as per the academic record of a candidate. The merit list will be announced on November 7.
