Complete Final-Year Exams By October 31: Maharashtra Governor To Universities

Mumbai: Maharashtra Governor, Bhagat Singh Koshyari has asked the vice-chancellors (V-Cs) of non-agricultural universities to complete the final-year exams and declaration of results by October 31.

Koshyari, who is also the chancellor of universities in Maharashtra, asked the VCs to start conducting practical exams from September 15.

Also, Koshyari gave permission to students to take an online exams from home.

The Governor gave the instructions during a video-conference meeting with the VCs on Thursday. It was held after the Supreme Court order on conducting final year exams.

The meeting was attended by Maharashtra’s Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Uday Samant, Minister of State Prajakt Tanpure, Chairman of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors on Examination, Dr Suhas Pednekar, and Additional Chief Secretary (Higher and Technical Education) Rajiv Jalota.
