Varanasi: The students’ wing of the Indian National Congress, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), won all the posts in the student union polls of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University here on Sunday. The varsity is in the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
NSUI’s Krishna Mohan Shukla was elected the president of the students’ union, Ajit Kumar Choubey as the vice-president and Shivam Choubey as the general secretary.
The NSUI candidates got the better of their ABVP counterparts in the student union elections. According to District Youth Congress president Vishwanath Kunwar, the youth has given a befitting reply to the saffron party and made it clear that they want a change in regime, reported news agency IANS.
