New Delhi: The Delhi University (DU) has issued fresh guidelines in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases in the Union Territory. The students and hostellers have been advised to avoid visiting laboratories and libraries unless it’s necessary.
According to the new guidelines, essential activities like practical work and other academic activities will carry on with standard operating procedures. The varsity will deploy thermal screening at the gates and people will be permitted to enter only by producing valid identity cards and the purpose of visit to the university.

Further, the DU has made social distancing mandatory and prohibited spitting on the campus. Mask has been made compulsory for everyone.
The authorities have disallowed entry inside the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Arts, halls and hostels.
The students or the faculty members will not be permitted to book any halls, seminar rooms to hold any conferences or meetings.
The varsity will review the COVID situation in 10 days and then take a further call.
