COVID-19: JNU Issues Fresh Guidelines Amid Delhi’s Extended Curfew

New Delhi: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has issued fresh guidelines for the students and imposed several other restrictions in view of the extended curfew here. The curfew that began at 10 pm on Monday, April 26 will remain in place till 5 am on May 3.

In an order issued on Monday, the varsity also said that there will be no restriction on movements of persons who are in emergency services, medical emergency and supply of goods during the curfew period on the production of valid identity card, reported NDTV.

Travelling from or going to airport, railway station or ISBTs will also be allowed, provided the travellers produce valid tickets. Shops dealing with essential foods, groceries, fruits and vegetables, diary and milk booth, pharmaceuticals and ATM are also allowed to operate. All other shops and school canteens will remain shut during the curfew.

According to the varsity statement, movement on the campus is restricted during the curfew timings. Gates of the campus will remain closed barring emergency movement. The doors of JNU library Dr BR Ambedkar Central Library will also remain shut.
