COVID-19 Lockdown: UNODC Launches ‘Lockdown Learners’ With Students, Educators In India
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) launched a series of online dialogues titled ‘Lockdown Learners’ in India with students and educators.
The aim of this series of online dialogues is to spread awareness among students on concerns of vulnerable groups and issues such as cybercrime, gender-based violence, misinformation, corruption discrimination etc.
The ‘Lockdown Learners’ series includes:
- a platform for students to receive mentorship
- knowledge support through activity-based learning
- use their skills and talent to promote awareness
- share their ideas and solutions to address sensitive issues.
UNODC Communications Officer for South Asia, Samarth Pathak, as quoted in Headlines Today said, “The educational resources have been shared with partner schools in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru, over the last week and focused interactions convened with 100s of students and educators.”
The United Nations body has launched the series of online dialogues under its flagship Education for Justice Initiative in view of COVID-19 and its impact on Sustainable Development Goals, peace and rule of law.
